Heads invariably turn when strollers pass the Anderson house, a quaint, one-story 1950s cottage that sits high above Lake Washington. But passersby would have never known that, for many years, inside was another house altogether: The décor had a decidedly primitive country look with red wallpaper, pine beams, brick linoleum and a plethora of plaid fabrics. Somehow, inside and out just weren’t meshing. Something had to be done. But what?
